We seek to build a flexible and highly-diversified reinsurance portfolio of specialty reinsurance risks, focusing on delivering underwriting profits and attractive risk-adjusted returns for our shareholders. We aim to achieve this by deploying capital in the specialty insurance segment and generating investment performance in a variety of market environments.

We will invest across select opportunities in multiple asset classes and diverse geographies, where risk/reward characteristics appear attractive. We will utilize both long and short strategies when investing. The aim of our diversified and active investment approach is to yield investment returns uncorrelated to the returns generated by our portfolio of insured risks.

A mix of business lines consisting primarily of:

• U.S. management and professional liability and European financial Lines, specializing in directors and officers, and professional liability protection for traditional as well as emerging professions.
• U.S. excess casualty coverage usually for general liability and commercial liability, with main sectors being restaurants, real estate and construction.
• U.S. healthcare cover for long-term care facilities, clinical research laboratories and some large hospitals.
• Accident and health, including sports associations and jockey clubs.
• Personal accident treaty and personal accident cover for large employee-insured groups.

PROPERTY

Complex property risk coverage across manufacturing, mining, chemical and pharmaceutical production, high technology and real estate.

MARINE

Worldwide solutions for property damage and third-party liability risks as related to ship builders and repairers, ports and terminals operators and owners, marinas, commercial and pleasure vessel owners, operators and charterers.

WORKERS’ COMPENSATION

Specialized workers compensation and employers liability coverage for a range of industries, from energy and maritime businesses to high-hazard operations with the potential for severe injury.

AEROSPACE
